How We Can Help

Services We Offer:

New Projects We Are Currently Working On:

UN Project:

The United Nations and UNESCO have proclaimed 2019 the International Year of Indigenous Languages as an extension of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous People. The Language Conservancy is participating in this program at the request of the United Nations and, in April of 2019, will be presenting a one-month long curated media exhibit organized for the public at United Nation Headquarters in New York.

Chickadee Lodge Immersion School - LogoSchools:

We are aiding the Cheyenne River Sioux tribe, who have created a nonprofit educational organization called Lakȟótiyapi Okáȟtaŋič’iya Wičhóičhaǧe Inc (LOWI) in developing a Lakota immersion school in Eagle Butte, SD, called the LOWI School. We are also helping Little Big Horn College with their tribal-run Crow language immersion school for K-2 called Chickadee Lodge.
